Meritorious Research Award.

This award is the highest award of the Society and recognizes a researcher (basic, translational or clinical) who has made significant contributions to the field of urologic research. Accomplishments of note should include publications, participation on distinguished panels, advisory roles and overall contributions to the field of urology research. Nominees will be contacted and asked to submit a cover letter highlighting their contributions to urologic research along with their most recent CV to Marty Roth, Executive Director at [email protected].

Distinguished Service Award.

This award is bestowed annually to recognize an SBUR member who has provided exemplary service to the Society over a period of time. This may include serving as Chair of committee(s), member of the Executive Committee, officer of the Society, Chair of an Annual Meeting Program, and other dedicated efforts. Further consideration is given to additional service to the field of urologic research as a whole. The recipient does not have to be a strong researcher as the focus here is on service. Nominees will be contacted and asked to submit a cover letter highlighting their contributions to urologic research along with their most recent CV to Marty Roth, Executive Director at [email protected].

Minority Scholar Award.

The National Institutes of Health reports that the following racial and ethnic groups are underrepresented in biomedical research: Blacks or African Americans, Hispanics or Latinos, American Indians or Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and other Pacific Islanders are underrepresented in biomedical research. Therefore, SBUR has instituted the Minority Scholar Award in strong support of these researchers. The Award will be presented to new to mid-level investigators who have made significant contributions to Urologic Research. This award will be administered through the SBUR Awards Committee in the same manner as all the other SBUR awards. Nominees will be contacted and asked to submit a cover letter highlighting their contributions to urologic research along with their most recent CV to Marty Roth, Executive Director at [email protected].
